A permanent memorial honoring the craftsmen, engineers, office staff, and executives of the Taylor Instrument Companies who answered the call of duty and served in the United States Armed Forces across our nation's conflicts.
We honor with solemn pride those Taylor Instrument employees who gave their lives in service to their country.
Conflict Rosters & Historical Eras
Plant mobilization for early military aircraft altimeters, barometers, and naval instrumentation, and the Rochester craftsmen who served in the American Expeditionary Forces.
Roster in Development
The complete roster of 266 Taylor employees serving as of July 1943 from the Army-Navy “E” Award booklet, with individual Gold Star memorial biographies.
Taylor workforce service during the Korean conflict, alongside critical industrial instrumentation contracts for defense manufacturing and synthetic materials.
Roster in Development
Honoring Taylor employees who served in Southeast Asia, including Marine PFC Thomas D. Niedermeier, wounded during the 1967 Hill Fights at Khe Sanh.
Did a member of your family work at Taylor Instrument Companies and serve in the U.S. Armed Forces? We welcome photographs, letters, military service records, and plant newspaper clippings to expand this memorial.
